Congratulation to ISRO !! India’s PSLV-C47 successfully launched Cartosat-3 and 13 commercial nanosatellites from Satish Dhawan Space Centre (SDSC) SHAR, Sriharikota.
Cartosat-3 satellite is a third generation agile advanced satellite having high resolution imaging capability.Cartosat-3 use in tracking and taking high quality images of Border forces movements.The Cartosat 3 follows similar launches in an earlier series deployed for cartography (map-making applications), infrastructure planning, coastal land use and regulation, road-network monitoring and more importantly, change detection in bringing out geographical and man-made features.
13 Commercial Nanosatellites from USA also successfully injected into designated orbit. These satellites were launched under commercial arrangement with NewSpace India Limited (NSIL), the commercial arm of Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO).
ISRO bags the record of launching satellites in less cost.According to ISRO Chairman,it is going to launch 40+ satellites in coming 3-4 months.
